The Lazarus Contract is a very short but very good crossover between the Titans and Deathstroke following the return of Wally West in DC Rebirth.
Wally West… help me bring my son back… and I’ll stop being Deathstroke… forever. No more costume. No more contracts. No more killing. Save one life… save thousands.
Deathstroke – Titans #11
The Lazarus Contract pays homage to the events in Judas Contract (1984), the series which introduced Deathstroke the Terminator and the fate of his son Joey Wilson. Wally West (was Kid Flash) was also involved way back in ’84.
This time, Deathstroke seeks the powers of Wally West to bring back his son, Grant.
Deathstroke has branched out since his introduction but it’s easy to forget that Deathstroke is a Titans adversary and not a Batman one, at least originally. The Lazarus Contact is a good reminder of this.
The following series are involved in the Lazarus Contract:
- Titans
- Teen Titans
- Deathstroke
